The Nippon Foundation DIVERSITY IN THE ARTS International Art Exhibition, an open-call exhibition of artworks by artists with disabilities, will end with the 5th exhibition of selected artworks (scheduled for the spring of 2023).
The Nippon Foundation DIVERSITY IN THE ARTS International Art Exhibition was launched in 2018 to broadly communicate the significance and value of diversity by leveraging the power of art to all of society in order to realize the goal of an inclusive society in which everyone can participate.
The five open-call exhibitions received 10,674 artworks by a total of 6,553 artists from Japan and abroad, and there were vast numbers of visitors to the exhibitions.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to all of the artists and the other people who participated in the project, to all of the visitors, to the jury members, and to everyone who supported this series of exhibitions.
This series of open-call exhibitions will be coming to an end, but we are confident that the various works of art that these artists will continue to produce will enrich the lives of many people and lead to a brighter, more harmonious society.
Plans are to announce The Nippon Foundation DIVERSITY IN THE ARTS The 5th International Art Exhibition, which marks the last in this series of exhibitions, sometime around February 2023.
